A Foot Health Practitioner provides routine and preventative care, including nail trimming, corn and callus reduction, and general foot health maintenance.
Podiatrists (also known as chiropodists) are regulated healthcare professionals registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are trained to diagnose and manage more complex or high-risk medical conditions.
Rooted Steps Foot Health provides professional domiciliary care within the scope of Foot Health Practice. If a concern requires specialist medical assessment, appropriate onward referral will always be advised.

No referral is required. Appointments can be arranged directly.

Treatments include routine foot care, nail trimming, reduction of corns and callus, management of fungal nails and verrucae, diabetic foot health checks, non-surgical ingrown toenail care, and general foot health advice.

Most appointments last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on individual needs. Visits are unhurried, allowing time for treatment and aftercare advice.

Home visits are available in Skelmersdale, Ormskirk, St. Helens, Wigan and surrounding areas. If you are unsure whether your location is covered, please feel free to ask.

Routine foot care can often be provided for individuals with diabetes. If there are any concerns about circulation, sensation, or existing complications, this will be discussed and referral advised where appropriate.

A small, well-lit area with access to a standard chair is usually sufficient. All professional equipment is brought to you.

Yes. All reusable instruments are cleaned and sterilised in accordance with professional standards.

Payment is due at the end of your visit.
I accept payment by cash, bank transfer and card payment for your convenience.
If you would prefer to pay in advance, a secure payment link can be sent after booking.
Details for payment will also be included in your appointment confirmation email.
Receipts are provided for all treatments.

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. This allows the appointment time to be offered to another client.
If you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment time, then the full fee will apply.
